- I undertook my undergraduate studies in medicine at Cambridge University before completing medical training at The London Hospital. Shortly afterwards, I began my specialist training in endocrinology at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. I received my specialist certificate in endocrinology and general internal medicine in 1997 and a year later was appointed as a consultant in endocrinology at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. In 1998, I was awarded my MD in endocrinology and in 1992 I was elected as a Fellow of The Royal College of Physicians.
